CLIPTAKES PLUGIN LICENCING

Subscribing to a Cliptakes membership grants you access to use the Cliptakes plugin in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

The Cliptakes plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public Licence.

Your licence key will only work on the (1) website you specify at the time of subscription or as amended by you in your account. Your licence key may not be sold or shared. You must hold a valid, active license key to access updates and support for the plugin.

Cliptakes reserve the right to revoke any license key that has not been used in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

CLIPTAKES SUBSCRIPTION AND AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

Cliptakes membership is sold as an automatically recurring subscription that renews each month on the anniversary of the purchase date.

The date payment is first taken will become your purchase date and recurring payments will be taken monthly on the anniversary of this date. 

Please note the following details of Cliptakes membership subscriptions:

  • Subscription renewals are automatically processed monthly on the anniversary of your original purchase. The license renewal will continue and remain valid for each one month unless the subscription is cancelled prior to the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription page.
  • Your renewal price will be locked in at the time of checkout for as long as your membership remains active.
  • If you choose to renew your subscription after it has been cancelled and your membership has expired, you will be charged the current listed price for your membership type. We will not apply older pricing to your new renewal purchase.
  • If you choose to cancel your subscription your membership will expire on the monthly anniversary of the original purchase and not immediately upon cancellation.
  • By signing up to use our services you agree and acknowledge that we will securely store your bank card details to take any reoccurring payments agreed with your membership level.

CLIPTAKES CANCELLATION

You reserve the right to cancel your membership to Cliptakes at any time without notice. Should you cancel your membership, you will continue to have access to the service until the next scheduled payment date, at which point your Cliptakes service will be revoked, and you will no longer be able to accept videos via the Cliptakes Plugin.

Received videos will remain playable for 30 days after your cancellation date. Your videos will then be archived for a further 60 days before being permanently deleted.

Should you renew your membership before the end of the 60 day period, your videos will be restored from the Cliptakes archive and playable once again.

REFUND POLICY

Due to the online nature of our service, and the fact that you may benefit from our plugin immediately after purchase, no refunds will be given should you choose to cancel. 

CLIPTAKES PLUGIN DELIVERY

Delivery is immediate.

On completion of successful subscription, you will be granted access to the Cliptakes plugin download and license key directly from your subscription details page. You will also receive an email with this information.

If your license key expires or is otherwise revoked or refunded, then download access will be discontinued until the license key is renewed.

DATA AND STORAGE

Our processing of personal information supplied by users of this site (www.cliptakes.com) is governed by our privacy policy.

Your Cliptakes subscription includes unlimited storage for all videos received. Video interviews received are stored in assigned Google Cloud Storage. Videos are shared with you via email through a secret web link which you can use to watch the video or to embed into your own website. You may use the link to download each video and store onto your own database if required.

Cliptakes videos remain playable for a total of six months from the date of receipt. After six months, your videos are permanently deleted from storage. Should you require a specific video for longer than this period you must download the video and store it on your own database.

OWNERSHIP

Whilst Cliptakes manages your cloud storage, the data held in storage remains under your exclusive ownership. You reserve all rights to request the data in bulk at any time provided the request is within the timeframe set out in our cancellation and storage clauses.

For the avoidance of doubt, Cliptakes videos are only stored for six months from the time of recording, and upon cancellation of your subscription will remain playable for 30 days only. Your videos will then be archived for a further 60 days before being permanently deleted. Any requests to receive your data in bulk must be before these timeframes expire. 

VIDEO CONSENT

It is your responsibility to gain consent and inform anyone you request a video from:

  • on how their video will be used and;
  • on how their video will be stored (Google Storage managed by Cliptakes Ltd)

Cliptakes Ltd is not responsible for how you use any received video interviews nor is it our responsibility to inform users of Cliptakes on how their data will be stored. You, the subscriber to Cliptakes, are our customer and our obligation is only to ensure you are fully informed of how we process and store data received via the Cliptakes Plugin.

ACCEPTABLE USE

You are strictly prohibited from using the Cliptakes plugin to request video content that may be considered unlawful, aggressive, sexually orientated, abusive, hateful or otherwise objectionable. You accept that Cliptakes Ltd does not monitor, endorse or approve your received video content and we do not accept responsibility for any content received using the Cliptakes plugin.

CLIPTAKES WARRANTY

The Cliptakes plugin is guaranteed to function correctly on a new installation of WordPress using a default WordPress theme. Whilst we have tested the Cliptakes plugin successfully with multiple free and paid WordPress themes, we cannot guarantee it will function correctly with all third party themes, plugins, browsers, or hosts.

If you have any compatibility issues then we will support you as best we can, according to the support terms detailed in the next section.

The Cliptakes plugin was designed to be provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied (as per GPL v3). We will not be liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Cliptakes plugin. This includes but is limited to indirect, direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages or losses, including data loss.

You agree to have a full and recent back-up of your website files before installing the Cliptakes plugin.

Cliptakes is not responsible for your website management, plugin installation or recovery.

CLIPTAKES SUPPORT

After subscribing to Cliptakes you will have access to easy-to-understand documentation detailing how to install, navigate and configure the plugin. Configuration is minimal and most WordPress users do not require additional support. Support is therefore limited to:

  • Help with any issues specifically relating to the Cliptakes plugin only
  • Advice on how to get the most out of the Cliptakes plugin, set questions, add basic branding (logo and colour) and embed completed video links into a new WordPress page
  • Advice on configuration and ensuring the product works as it should

Support does not include:

  • Investigating possible theme and or plugin conflicts
  • CSS changes to improve the appearance of the plugins with your theme
  • Modification of the Cliptakes plugin to be used outside of the intended use

Support is provided at a basic level via email only. We aim to reply to all queries within 24 hours but we do not guarantee a specific response time. We do not provide support outside of email and will never ask for your WordPress login details.

LIABILITY

By using Cliptakes on your WordPress website you release Cliptakes Ltd of all liability.
