Cliptakes was born out of necessity. Recruitment takes time and quite simply, editing videos to share with your team or clients shouldn’t be something that slows you down. In early 2020, as the worlds focus switched to virtual interviews, we launched Cliptakes. 

We wanted an affordable solution to not only accept one-way video interviews on our own website, but to auto-edit them for us. After searching and testing various third party options, we realised there wasn't one. Several months later, Cliptakes for WordPress was released .

Although I wrote my first code at the age of 12, my road to becoming a software developer was not as straightforward as one might think. I first graduated with a degree in nanoscience and worked as a logistics consultant for several years.

In early 2020, David reached out about his need to pivot the recruitment process in his business. It was only a matter of days thereafter that we started designing the first prototype of Cliptakes. Since then, we have continually worked to deliver an easy-to-use and reliable video interview platform.

I’ve worked in the recruitment sector since 2013 and co-founded an education recruitment agency in the United Kingdom. I currently support operations across our 4 branches.

Developing Cliptakes has been an exciting project as I’ve been able to robustly test it within my own agency. Introducing video interviews to our business has improved candidate screening, marketing and client development.
